I never liked micro as much as macro so I needed a little help with it. I found this guide a useful condensation of the most important topics. Topics include supply and demand plus shifts, wage determination, consumer choice and preference, anti-trust, and more. Lots of well chosen graphs help illustrate the concepts. It'll be especially useful if you're reading Thomas Sowell's basic econ book, which has little or no graphs or math, I guess to simplify things, but you can't really study econ without learning at least a few graphs. If you have both the macro and micro guides you should be in pretty good shape. Overall another fine primer and guide from BarCharts/ QuickStudy.
This seemed like a waste of five dollars at first, but as the class continued I found my self using this chart quite a bit. It has a break down of all the major equations and graphs that are used in the Mcgraw-Hill book and it helped with studying. I also continued to use some parts of this very colorful chart in Macroeconomics as well as there are many of the same formulas used. This turned out to be one of the most useful purchases for school ever.
Very helpful chart, and definitely something I think is useful for basic economic functions. It doesn't fit in my binder (8.5 by 11 sized binder), which knocks off a star, but it's a nice quick study guide. Too bad I can't use it on my exams. :D
I picked one of these up and I love it. It gives you all of the basic concepts that you need without being overwhelming. Of course, it requires the student to actually learn the concepts, as well, but it's a great reference and refresher guide!
I'm not entirely sure what the order of the chart is. The information on it is great, don't get me wrong. I honestly have no idea what the general order for Micro topics is in most books, but my books went in a different order than this chart. If you want to use this as a quick reference before a test or quiz, make sure you familiarize yourself with the differences between this and your textbook and where the info is.
The guide is quite helpful for someone who may have been away from the textbooks and formulas for a while. The guide jogs the memory with a great deal of needed information. A great spot with a lot of information that we thought we had forgotten.
My teacher required a book and this "cheat sheet". It was helpful for my beginning class and had a lot of information that we did not cover as well.
i hope this book and pamphlets help me get through my business courses and help me under stand the concepts better the first time around
