this is a review of the 2cd radio drama version. peter sallis was not a good choice for poirot. his french (belgian) accent is almost non-existent. he just speaks in a halting, mechanical way. also, the "horrible noise" was badly recorded, you can barely hear it. otherwise a good production. i recommend buying at a reduced price. i got lucky and found a new one for ten dollars. i highly recommend the radio dramas with john moffat as poirot, which are most of the poirot radio dramas.
Drags a bit in spots, but basically classic Christie.
this CD will puit you in the mood for Christmas. listen to it while wrapping your presents and the job will go quickly.
A very unexpected topic for a murder mystery, but very good. Something to take your mind off of the holiday stresses!
