I so enjoy listening to this over and over. It's one of my favorite Poirot stories and the cast has captured Dame Agatha's quality in this presentation.
All that I expected. I like the multiple voice dramatization. It adds a dimension that isn't as effective when one person is reading in different voices.
The Adventure of The Christmas Pudding is a radio play adaptation of an Agatha Christie short story starring Hercule Poirot.I am a big fan of these radio adaptations, but I found this to be somewhat disappointing. I could be prejudiced as I am a fan of the TV version of this same story featuring David Suchet as Poirot. Whereas the TV version had lots of charm and humour, this radio version falls somewhat flat. Christmas does not feel like a joyous season here and the whole mood is subdued. As this was originally a short story there is not much of a mystery here and the production does not provide much atmosphere.Fans hungry for anything related to Agatha Christie might find this okay, but for others, you might be disappointed.
