Nice coloring book. Don't try to copy and print any of the pages because it won't work. I've tried a couple and it leaves a 1/4 in blank strip across the middle of the skull. So I think they're protected. I've found a way around that. I used an app called Tiny Scanner on my iPhone and then printed it out using my bluetooth printer.
Tons of options for coloring in this book! Most adult coloring books at this price only have 30 pictures at max but this one has over 100! There is also a nice variety of difficulties. Some designs are more intricate than others which is a big problem I have when purchasing a coloring book. I like to be able to have my pick for those days when I'm feeling more like zoning out than paying attention to overstimulating detail. Would definitely purchase again!
Coloring is something I love doing! When life gets stressful its nice to relax in a quiet environment & get lost in coloring. When adult coloring books came about I was so excited. Because I would find myself getting children's coloring books & only finding 2-3 pictures in each that I actually liked that were not super kiddish. I own several adult coloring books & I have to say I really am enjoying this one the most right now. Skulls have been something I find very intriguing!When this Sugar Skulls-Day of the Dead arrived I was pleasantly surprised. Each skull is unique & the designs flow very nicely with each skull. I also like that even with the designs the skulls are still present. Meaning the designs are not overpowering! I also like that the pages are one sided, so I don't have to worry about markers or gel pens bleeding through to the picture behind it. The paper is much thicker than your standard paper which is really nice as well.The only thing I disliked about this coloring book is the pages are not perforated. So when taring out a page you have to be careful so you don't end up ripping into the picture. I use an X-Acto knife to cut the page out once I am done coloring! I have to buy some frames because I think these pictures will look great in my office. There visually nice to look at once colored.Overall I am very pleased with this coloring book & I definitely recommend it to anyone in the market looking to purchase an adult coloring book & loves skulls.
I am a high-school art teacher. This past month, my students used clay to create mini "Day of the Dead" skulls. I did a bit of research online, and decided to purchase a book of designs and templates to give the students ideas for painting their fired clay. I narrowed it down to three, all in the same price range, and decided to go with this one. I'm so glad I did! This book is chock full of full-size designs, which copy very nicely. I made several packets and stapled them together so the kids had some reference examples to look at for inspiration. The skulls are symmetrical and well-drawn with clean lines and interesting shapes. (Some of the other books looked a bit amateur). There are several dozen designs in this book, perfect for using as examples as I did, or for your own coloring. They range from fairly simple to ridiculously detailed, so there's variety for all levels. A really great reference!
All the designs are so different, so fun to color! The lines are really solid, and the pages are thick enough for my purposes (I use colored pencils) but thin enough to not make the book too stiff. The sugar skulls are fun and lively; a great break from paisleys, landscapes and flowers.
Wow!!! Thick paper, printed on one side only! Many many designs to work my magic on! I'm sure I'll get many hours of enjoyment out of this! I highly recommend! (I always use a protecting sheet of card stock when 'coloring' and will continue to do so.)
I'm new to adult coloring.....and I love skulls. This book is a lot of fun, and the paper is thick enough so the gel pens don't go through. Pictures are intricate enough for me.....for now anyway. I can honestly tell you I can get lost in my coloring for hours. Definitely great form of stress relief.RF
