I loved this book! I read a smaller portion in vanity fair and wanted to read more. I'm so glad I did.The author writes with so much humility and honesty. I could definitely relate to her experiences even if I haven't been in the exact situations. Her writing was totally engaging and I basically read the entire thing within a day. She seemed like the kind of person I'd love to be friends with.I wish it were longer, and I wish she'd let us know what she's up to now.

I was so excited to read this book as soon as it came out. It doesn't disappoint. Refreshingly, Ms. Bloom is very generous with details, names and places. She's also very candid about her own downfall. I was left wishing the book was a little longer--that there was more time spent on the Hollywood portion of the story. Hilarious details about Tobey Maguire make this (fairly pricey) e- book worth reading for that alone.Ms. Bloom keeps the pace moving in the perfect summer book. Very entertaining!

This was a great book and, as others have said, a very fast read. Bloom takes you quickly through her formative childhood, but gives you enough detail to provide a background against which her later actions can be contrasted. She makes some adult decisions that could be judged harshly, but really, who wouldn't have chosen the same path, given the circumstances? The entire story has a very human aspect to it and the detailed information she provides about the notable people in her orbit is fascinating. If it was a fictional story it would still be good but hard to believe. The fact that it all happened in real life makes it all the more engaging. I highly recommend it even if you're not a poker player or even interested in the game.

I read the negative reviews and simply did not understand their points. I put that on me not on them. I rather enjoyed the book. I found it a compelling read and it held my attention. I gave 4 stars because the ending pretty much just dropped off with out explaining what happened in the end. I had to google it to see how her story ended. I myself am a Pretty good people reader so it was no surprise to me that Tobey is a dick in real life. I picked that up during interviews and youtube clips (Youtube him I dare you). You can just tell. Meanwhile he hasn't made a film since 2012 - 2013? Clearly the guys a dick that no one wants to work with. Anyway I recommend this book simply because I found it very entertaining.

very fascinating; good read; I read it in one sitting; there should be more books like this. hopefully there will be a follow up.

Most tell-all stories have three sides and I have a feeling this has one true one and that it's Molly's. I can't say I respect her, but I can appreciate the life lessons she will teach the many people who will read this book and that when she knew better, she did better. Very well written story of a little savvy princess in the world of high stakes gambling

Light summer read...it was just what I was looking for. I had read the Vanity Fair excerpt and wanted more. I downloaded this to my Kindle and brought it with me to Las Vegas for a short vacation. I didn't want to put it down! It was a quick and fun read, exactly what I was looking for in a vacation book. If you like the excerpt, the book will not disappoint. She gives a lot of details and also I enjoyed living vicariously through her as she accumulated her wealth, and started spending money shopping, traveling and her homes and cars.

This is a combination of a Cinderella story and a cautionary tale. Molly’s meteoric rise and catastrophic fall is a classic Hollywood tale with bits of PRETTY WOMAN and THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA mixed up with tantalizingly juicy bits of gossip about the celebrities who peopled the poker games she ran. At the time Bloom was indicted on a slew of federal charges—along with some 30 others—there was talk that she was going to write a tell-all book. There’s a fair bit of tell-tale here but we also get the feeling that there’s a lot she chose NOT to tell.Molly’s very likable in the early part of the book and her delight in fitting into her new world is infectious. The first time she’s literally invited to “sit at the table” after helping her horrible boss cement a deal, she is over the moon, and rightfully so. But like a lot of heroines in fictional counterparts of her story (again, THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA comes to mind), she learns that if you deal with fire, you’re going to get burned. As the stakes literally get higher—at one point she and the games’ dealer are both taking home $10K in tips a night—so do the dangers. And that’s when things seem to get a little rushed in the narrative. Once she goes to New York and encounters gun-wielding thugs and smooth-talking Russians, we get the feeling that she’s glossing things over. We already know that the whole house of cards she’s built is going to come crashing down (that’s the prologue) but the way she’s brought down and who might have been instrumental is a tad murky. This is an entertaining behind-the-scenes look at a corner of celebrity that stays pretty much in the shadows. The book could have been better but for most of it, it's pretty good.
