Trying to get some reading done over the summer before I start school again so I got thought I would try this one. I love crime books; both true crime and fiction. This is not one of my favorites. Not even close. I did finish the book because I thought it was an interesting topic, but it was LOADED with conspiracy theories and information that just didn't seem relevant. For instance, there are two chapters (I believe) that are dedicated to some magician who was abusing sick kids in a hospital and granted he was a sick guy that was able to get away with horrible things, however I failed to see what he had to do with the idea of the network of killers idea. Then there was another couple of chapters solely about some guy who practiced some form of witchcraft type of stuff; no relevance to the topic at all. I wound up skipping through those chapters after reading about half of it; it just didn't have a reason to be in the book at all.I was intrigued by the idea of the network of killers; this isn't all that far-fetched of an idea, especially with the internet. I think further investigating needs to be done because there are definitely things that don't add up about these deaths. The main one being that the bodies turn up days, weeks, and even months after the person disappeared and are usually located in an area that was already searched. Found out in the open where they could not have been missed. Definitely seems strange. The story really would be better if it were more organized. When the author is talking about so many deaths it would be nice to have each section titled with the victims name so it can be kept straight. Chronological order would be nice as well and have the book separated by countries (there are deaths spanning multiple countries with the same MO).
