This was a well documented book on how the credit bureau's operate. I finished reading the book in a day, my wife took 2 hours. out of all the techniques I've learned to clean up my credit his way is pretty simple. And he only gives you a couple of ways to fight back, which is more than enough.
I went into Corey P. Smith's book CONSPIRACY OF CREDIT with some apprehension.I read A LOT of books, and I know that some authors will try to hype up a book with a certain title and/or cover just to get people to take a look at it. Let's face it: the subject of credit is NOT sexy, so I could kind of understand if Smith was just trying to get it more attention and not have as much substance to back up the bold title.Well, I must say after reading the book (and this is another example of why you shouldn't judge a book by its cover), this book was not just well-written but shared some information that I think individuals of all walks of life can appreciate.At the core of the book's message is the simple truth that too many individuals, especially those with little means, are enslaved to debt. There can be a real conversation as to whose fault that might be, but I think it goes without saying that sometimes we make choices without thinking and end up in a situation that we could have never imagined.The great thing is that we don't have to stay there. We can move forward and even get rid of the debt and the shame that is holding us down. It really is a choice, and when you do what Smith outlines in the book you are better informed to make choices that can help you.Smith gives you some valuable tips that can help you back the hold that debt has on your life. It requires you to be proactive and make bold steps but if you are persistent and serious about improving your credit score and your quality of life then you definitely need to give it a read.
I think this a well written book I bought it after a the author did a radio show on underground radio I'll admit initially I had my concerns about whether or not to purchase the book based on just the sound of the authors voice but I'm glad I went ahead with the purchase the author plays the game really well and after reading the book I can understand why he does what he does, my only gripe really if you want to call it that is that I wish he would have left more references like recommended reads for people who would like to follow through and learn more about "playing the game"
Great!!!!It alluded to some good information, but he held back a lot of practical know how, that he should of shared more of, kind of left you wondering the steps to take...Granted various locations are different, but still he could of gave just a little more hands-on-how-to-do, but overall I am happy with it!!!!(but I have some experiences with dealing with some things and I have learned a lot in different areas, so that makes me a little different then the average user possibly, but it would have made it a 5 star rating and a lot more I would say if he would have put just a little more in the book, cause you do feel "taken for a little ride" in the end, just a little bit, but it is what it is, I look forward to the next book and hope it gives a lot more!!!!)As advertised...
High recommended for anyone seriously concerned about wealth building.This book is only the beginning, but it's very necessary.
Great breakdown of the credit institutions and how to use debt as leverage. Must read if you want to be financially liberated
This Corey P Smith book was a bit of a disappointment. I read Corey's 'How to Outsmart the Credit Bureaus ' and that book was true the title. This book seems like author is trying to bank on previous work. I really didn't see it's true benefit in regards to credit repair, especially if reader is a novice to topic. I did appreciate Corey's chapter regarding E-OSCAR, although I thought he should have went even deeper here.
The best part of the book is the affidavits in the back. I'm still waiting to see how those will work. But challenging the credit companies has allowed my credit score to go up at least 50 points. That alone made the book worth it.
