I have read many of Mr. Rosewood' works, including this one, and have not been disappointed. He actually approaches each story and case with a caring passion that other true crime writers seem to lack. It shows that each person affected means something to him. They touch his heart and soul like they are his own family. The one case that stood out the most was the torture and murder Junko Furuta of Japan who was 16 years old at the time of her death in 1988. 22 years before that another girl of the same age died from the same means in Indiana. Her name was Sylvia Likens. So the crimes were very much alike and it felt like deja vu in the worst way possible. I won't give away spoilers and let the reader find out on their own when they purchase a copy. Please do so, you will be glad you did.

This is yet another biopic read that’s really hard to put down. It's an insightful and graphically detailed account of some of the most horrific serial killers. In fact, while reading yet another of Jack Rosewoods books, I just had to keep turning the pages yet again. Not necessarily because it's all that enjoyable in any way, shape or form, to delve a little too deeply into the malefic minds of such murderous men, but because I sincerely believe that most people are fascinated in one way or another by serial killers. Perhaps it’s the human morbid fascination with death. I’m not exactly sure. However, maybe it just astounds the average person as to how depraved another individual can be.Even if you are a seasoned campaigner of true crime, True Crime Stories Volume 3: 12 Shocking True Crime Murder Cases; will surely raise more than a few hairs on the back of your neck. It was a good read and the author gave a perspective to these horrific crimes that were both fascinating and intriguing. This was one of the better true crime books that I have read recently.I would highly recommend this read to all fans of the crime genre. I’m also a big fan of Jack Rosewood so it’s another 5 Stars from me. Well done again!

Jack Rosewood has done a fairly good job with all three books in series, True Crime Stories, Vol. 1, 2 and 3. Since they are all so similar, I am rolling a review of all three into this review. Mr. Rosewood’s writing is clear and the facts are well presented, except I wish he had gone into a bit more detail sometimes, as he jumps for the crime or evidence to the outcome rather abruptly and quickly. Some of the stories are about crimes that are solved. Some stories concern crimes, or probable crimes, that have gone into the cold case file. Some are about what might even be a miscarriage of justice, as his presentation of facts leaves the reader to wonder who or how a conviction ever occurred. The stories span a large amount of time. These are stories of interest, but stories which have not received enough coverage or exposure in the news or anywhere, for that matter. I enjoyed reading them, though I often wanted more details. However, Mr. Rosewood probably did not want to get caught up in minutia about with cases, which could easily happen, so kept things to a bare minimum. I really liked the format of the stories, as I could pick up the book, read a bit, and put it down when necessary, resuming my reading as time and circumstances permitted. I am not sure I would have enjoyed them as much if I had raced through the books, as some of the stories were not that easy to take. Overall, I enjoyed reading them. I think anyone looking for a good look at crime because of interest or career will find these three books well worth the time and effort. I highly recommend them, if you fit this type of reader mold. I received these from Library Thing to read and review.

Some times you read a book by a certain author, and you think WoW he's a great writer, maybe I'll read more of his books. You read one or two more and you become serious imprrssed, because he writes about a subject you're interested in. He always writes facts and gives you information you wouldn't find without a lot of searching. The first time I read one of Jack Rosewood's books was a review process, I was given the book to read, and then tell what I think about it. Here I am several months later, realizing these are the best books I've read on the Crime Subject. I'm never left with What? How? When? Questions, when he tells you about a crime, he gives you all the information you need and I think that's awesome. No more reading three or four different books on the same crime just to get the fact straight.Jack Rosewood's books are excellent reads, they give you details to the point you can picture the scene as if your are standing there in the middle of it all watching what he describes. I've come to adore Mr. Rosewood and his books. I look forward to the next ones coming out, and highly recommend them for others to read. A lot of my friends share the same crime interest that I have, and we discuss books on different crimes. I've brought Jack's books to the table several times and we've all enjoyed them.

The best thing about this book is that it describes real (and not imaginary) crimes. After reading this 'True Crimes', I think that the most important output, in my case, is that I will now be able to see people from a different perspective and protect myself in a better way.
