The story line is very good comes close to a Hitchcock movie. I love the British narrators who really make the book come to life.Rachel is a confused middle aged woman who has a lot of demons in her life. Megan has sultry voice who definitelycreates a great environment of mystery and seductiveness.The story has a great deal of twists and turns. I would recommend this book especially if you like female main characters.
The Girl On The TrainVery interesting reading with lots of fantasien and suspense.Once I started reading I needed to know more, and closerto the end of the book I was captured by the surprising finish.I liked the discription of the train ride, it's passengers and thelandscape and houses it past. ,
If I were to describe it in one word, it would be "meh..."There was a brief period of time in which I wondered "who'd done it?", but less than a chapter later I already knew who it was and merely finished the book expecting an awesome finale, only to be disappointed with a non eventful and ordinary ending.I like me better plot twists.
Gut geschrieben und wirklich fesselnd. Ich kann es nur empfehlen. In zwei Tagen hatte ich das Buch durch gelesen. Daumen hoch.
I wish the story had been told more efficiently. Portions of it, especially the memory loss stuff were challenging to my suspension of disbelief. It isn't all negative, I did care about what happened. Both my wife and I admitted that if we knew what we we're getting into half way through the audiobook, we wouldn't have purchased it.
Not a very good mystery at all, there are only so many suspects and easy to figure out the "whodunit" and the climax feels like a drag.
Loved it old school writing, in a time where crap is being writer by most.
