This is a wonderful series. I knew after reading the first compilation--Episodes 1-3, that I'd read the next ones in the series. If you want action packed this may not be to your liking. If you're a Christie fan then you should like this series. Like Ms. Christie's these plots are simple; it's the solving of the mystery with all if its twists and turns that keeps you guessing to the end. I'm looking forward to reading the next compilation in this series. I highly recommend these books to anyone who loves cozy mysteries.
Fun, entertaining series. The characters are likable, the stories not terribly complicated, but interesting, there not mind benders with a lot of twists and turns or a lot of suspects as with a Hamish Macbeth mystery with a ton (I like Hamish too.) The narration gets better as the books move along. Some of the dialog the writers have Jack (the American ) say are a bit off but all together just good cozies to take your mind off of the world.
Really like the series. They are quick reads that remind me of the "serial" that used to be published in magazines. Wonderful when you don't have a lot of time.
Great little novellas of the "English Mystery" type. Quick, enjoyable reads!
