Outstanding theory book accompaniment to the series. COLORFUL and easy on the eyes for students--- I especially appreciate this series for my children with learning differences 1st-12th grades. Develops theory knowledge and stills in easy steps.
Alfred's basic piano series are just fantastic. I love using his series with my students. It offers such a complete and well-rounded knowledge into the piano theory. The presentation and development of theory is so well done.
My 9 yr old son just started taking piano lessons. His instructor asked that we buy Alfred's Basic Piano Library Theory. After two lessons with use of this book, my son is really off to a good start.
The book is great for my beginning piano player. Her instructor uses it with the Piano Lesson Book Complete Level 1. She gets to practice what she learned in class, giving her a well rounded learning experience
I have all the Alfred's Basic Books for my kids but feel like the way they were written could have been better thought out in regards to speed of learning. I feel they are a little slower than one should have to learn from, especially for quick learners. But, given their purpose, I feel they are the some of the best ones out there for beginner piano players.
I absolutely adore this piano book. And all of the lessons that follow behind it. I was taught with these lesson books and I teach with these lesson books.. I would recommend this to anyone young or old
After teaching piano for 20 years Alfred's is the right combination of piano and music theory for every beginner no matter the age
I found this to be still a little "young" for my upper-elementary beginner students, but the necessary content is covered clearly.
