Hoping to keep Poirot alive, I really wanted to like this book, but was disappointed. Unlike the endearing banter between Poirot and Hastings, the relationship between Poirot and the narrator (and inspector) in this book seems antagonistic from beginning to end, with no sign of real respect or caring between the characters. The consistency of this antagonism caused the book to drag at times and seem tiresome. I can only hope that further books, should there be more, will be more interesting.

I have always enjoyed the Poirot tales and audio books are a personal must for me. This one was maddening thanks to the narrator. Horrid. He goes from mumbling whispers to an overly loud pitch. I was constantly adjusting the volume. Just could not enjoy this one at all and regret the purchase.

Not sure what book other reviewers are talking about. This is not written by Agatha Christie. I listened to audio version. The narration was well done. It started out strong, but as the story went on felt like fan fiction and not really a Christie mystery. I found it difficult to finish.

This book was a disappointment! It just didn't seem like Poirot and grew tiresome.

The only reason I don't give this a "0" is that it isn't available. Started one CD and threw the rest away - it wouldn't be ethical to donate to the local library.
