When most players play, there is a sense of urgency and tension in their game. With Pirlo however, there is calmness personified.I'd like to believe it's not because he lacks the drive or passion, but because the route to the goal is well-mapped in his skull. And with his book as we'll, one is unable to see the direction of the narrative, but can enjoy the ride nevertheless. We leave the visions to Pirlo.
This book is a stroll, a pleasurable stroll. The pages turn just like Pirlo's passes. His character is revealed. Every fan of modern football ought to get his hands on this book. A great read that makes you feel all the more affectionate towards Pirlo.
I enjoyed every single page of Andrea's book. One of my favorite players of all time and I only wish there were more chapters! I could read his stories forever.

Very blunt opinions of this legend. However, I feel it is way too short of a book for a man who has accomplished so much and be a role model for millions of people. It was written with very direct to the point with some sarcastic opinions which definitely will make some fans satisfy.
I particularly liked the anecdotes about current and former teammates. The sign of a good book is that when you reach the end, you wish it went on more. That's how I felt about this one. I am looking forward to the sequel and stories about Conte, GiGi etc.
Italian will always be Italian, Pirlo has a different and almost artistic way of describing things, both his playing experience and thought on the game etc .I mostly read British football books /biographies and this one definitely has a different approach.I loved it.
For anyone who loves football Italian style this book will be a joy. Pirlo is candid, droll , sincere and at times very funny. Anecdotes about so many of the Italian greats abound and while this is a quick read it is full of a love for the beautiful game and a reverence for the Azzurri that one would expect from a legend who plays the game so well while appearing to make it effortless. A great book for all football lovers.
