At times I come across a book that entertains me. Swingers of West London is such a book. You will laugh at the predicaments Clive gets himself into and the observations he makes of others. It's a short book and his comments will make you smile long after you put it down. Lola, who had a lifelong dream to marry the Italian rugby team, is just one character you will not soon forget. Thank you Clive for giving me a window into a different world.
Very funny.I used to go dancing and so a comedy set in a dance class instantly appealed to me.The opening chapter alone took me straight back, reminding me of some of the odd balls that frequent these types of places.As a result I went on to buy the author's other book (Swingers of west London: the Early Years.)Both highly recommended
Short, funny read! A great antidote to a bad day. The author uses British vernacular in a way I found hilarious. His description of the dance clubs read like comic skits, a la Benny Hill or Monty Python.While this is clearly not a serious literary tome, it makes great light reading. Made me larf like crazy! :)
