You get just what the cover says in this generous collection of 100 "classic" country songs. A key recommends a good strumming or fingerpicking accompaniment pattern for each, and for each song the melody notes are given plus the lyrics in a simple, flatpicking version, mostly in the first position. The important musician who played each song is listed so you can look for it on their CD, since there is no CD unfortunately included with the book. That's the only downside to this book that I can see, but often if you pick a few of the notes, the melody will come to you. The price is right!
This book has plenty of classic country songs. It wasn't the easiest to follow but I am just starting to learn guitar on my own (self taught). It is not the most basic for beginners.Decent selection of music though.

Very nice Guitar book with 20p Country Songs, Various Artists and Country Song Singers Music, Very happy with the various songs and provides alot of songs with the words that are both old country and new country songs, love the Country guitar Classic easy play book and would highly recommend this guitar song book to others who enjoy country music.
This is another good book that compliments The Classis Country Book. I bought both together. Of course some repeats, but plenty of songs different enough to justify having both books. At least that's what I tell myself
If this book was spiral bound, I would love it...so I had a copy center fix it!
This is a good book of some classic songs. It is great for learning a wide selection of songs. I would recommend it to anyone wanting to play some good old country songs.

Good songs but very generic in showing how they are played, does not show how the song is really played. That is what is was looking for.
