I just purchased myself a piano, and haven't played for years but wanted to get back into it. I ordered this song book from and it is wonderful! I am having so much fun practicing and playing songs out of this book. I love country music, and there are a lot of my favorite songs in this book that I am familiar with, making it easier to play. Great book of songs, highly recommend to anyone looking to play country music of today.
I purchased this for my piano student who loves country music. She is early intermediate level, I would say and is really loving the book. This is a great book for any country-loving pianist to add to a collection of books. This is definitely well worth the money!
Amazing. I am not sure why I didn't know of Dan Coates before. I am a fan. To me, I found it easy to follow and play but I have had more than 20 years experience so I am not sure if I am speaking based on experience.
Came in great condition. Lots of variety with songs. I don't like how easy they are. It's not the actual song simplified. It's like the vocals written down. So it sounds much more like the vocals than any background piano you hear in the song. Still a good start for beginning piano.
Enjoying playing songs from this book. Dan Coates arrangements get boring if you are playing several at a time. The harmony part of the left hand is repetitious/no imagination and skill is lacking.
My students requested some country music hits of today and needed simplified arrangements. This book is great and doesn't over simplify. Advanced beginner to intermediate piano students.
