This is a perfectly sized songbook for your Christmas feast. Words, music and history of all your favorites and quite reasonably priced. I now own 24 copies of this book. One can place them on the guest's chair or under the dinner plate. This book is just the right size: both compact and readable. We had a 3-hour Christmas Feast centered around the theme of gratitude and we sang throughout the meal. It's amazing how many "non-singing" folks will join in when the words and music are right in front of them. Warm up your next holiday event and sing your hearts out. It feels great!
I'm thrilled they reissued this book! I have the original with the red and black cover that we used at my elementary school back in the 70s. It includes all the classic carols and many that are seldom used today, but incredibly lovely. The stories behind the carols make them even more enjoyable and I love that this carol book includes all the verses, not just the one or two that are usually sung. If you're not sure which carol book is the best one, look no more.
My church has been using this book since 1949 for both in-church and out-and-about caroling in the community. This book contains some of the best carols ever written along with many of the stories behind the music. Overall a great little book that anyone who likes to sing Christmas Carols would enjoy owning.

This Carol book was published in 1935, the year that my wife, Kathryn Kvamme, was born. The book was written by her father, Torstein "Tut" Kvamme, who also wrote many other songs of faith, among them "Could I But Sing" for our wedding in 1955. The Carol book was the only one he had published and is cherished by our family.
I purchased this book as a gift for someone, and they loved it. The stories inside describing each carol make the book unique and make the carols more meaningful. It is thick enough to have many popular songs in it yet thin enough to easily carry around for caroling! I would buy this again.
My sister loves this. I've had this carol book since 1968 and so glad it's still published. It has all the verses of the carols and four-part harmony. The stories behind the carols are wonderful and hard to find anywhere else.
There aren't any tags in this book, so it's difficult to skip straight to the one you are looking for. I was going to use it to leads group of carolers and found it more cumbersome than helpful.
