What a wonder way to relax in the afternoon or before bed. The set came packed well and on time. The BBC does a wonderful job with their radio dramas which I prefer to TV.
The twelve stories are on 2 CDs each. The slip case says that the total program content is 20 hours. The audio is stereo and the characters are spread out left-right so you can use that plus their voices to keep them straight in your imagination. I find using headphones to be more enjoyable as I feel that I am in the immediate company of the characters.Purists may be bothered by: 1) Liberties have been taken with secondary aspects of the plots. 2) The basic personality traits of some of the characters have been changed. 3) The minor personality defects of some of the characters have been exaggerated to almost major proportions. Some people may like this as a change from the television dramatizations and the original books.
