Limited time only.Henry VIII’s reign is one of the most famous—or infamous—in British history. His dynamic rule revitalized the kingdom, but at times teetered on the brink of madness, particularly in his notorious treatment of his six wives. His reign has been examined in Robert Bolt’s A Man for All Seasons, Hilary Mantel’s Wolf Hall, the hit television show The Tudors, and many more—but who was the real Henry? In this compact, highly readable new biography, ***AUTHOR*** separates fiction from fact, myth from reality in the life of this titanic British king. She retells Henry’s military victories at Flodden and the Battle of the Spurs in thrilling detail, and explores the many social changes that England saw under his reign. She also examines the fascinating personalities that surrounded him, many of them legends in their own right: Katharaine of Aragon, Sir Thomas More, Thomas Cromwell, Jane Seymour, Thomas Cranmer, the future queens Mary and Elizabeth, and of course, Anne Boleyn. Above them all towers Henry himself, the vigorous, complicated monarch who changed the face of England forever.Buy Now to Discover: A narrative portrait each of Henry’s six wives, only two of whom would outlive him.How the Tudor dynasty arose out of the longest civil war in English history. The surprising story of Katherine of Aragon’s long struggle against her husband. How Thomas More and Thomas Cromwell were betrayed and executed. The largest battle ever fought between England and Scotland. The secret health problems that lay behind Henry’s seeming madness. The early lives of three future British monarchs: Edward VI, Mary I, and Elizabeth I.Read Your Book NowYour book will be instantly and automatically delivered to your Kindle device, smartphone, tablet, and computer.FREE Bonus BookBuy Henry VIII: The Flawed King now and receive instant access to your free Kindle ebook.Money Back GuaranteeIf you start reading our book and are not completely satisfied with your purchase, simply return it to within 7 days for a full refund. This man Henry VIII is known to be a great man despite the fact that his ways had been different from other kings. Having been read his biography is quite refreshing because it brings to my imagination how the lives of many people under his administration were. He was born to be rich but things didn't get so easy with him because of some circumstances. I like reading this book about his life because it highlighted the years that were significant to his life and to the lives of others in his time.

wow. This was beautifully written, exhaustive in its research, it is a gem. He succeeds masterfully in making Henry and his six wives come alive for the reader. Packed with colorful description, meticulous in historical detail, rich in pageantry, intrigue, passion, and luxury, Weir brilliantly renders King Henry VIII, his court, and the fascinating men and women who vied for its pleasures and rewards. The result is an absolutely spellbinding read.

England was a different country in many ways if not for the Henry's thirty-eight years in the throne. For good or for ill, the changes he made helped create Britain as it is today. Henry also established the tradition of using Parliament as the authoritative voice in creating and passing laws. When he made his changes to the Church for instance, instead of just issuing decrees, he had Parliament pass the laws which he then approved.Henry was far from a perfect men or an ideal ruler, as for many who perished on the scaffold or in the flames because of his decisions. However, he set England on a path to a dynamic cultural, economic, military, and political future.

I wasn’t planning on reading this at all because I only got it as a reference book for my son’s homework. I only knew two things about Henry VIII prior to reading this: he was English, and he had two of his three wives executed. Glad I took the time to sit down and read this. Author provide a peek into the personal life and detailed the contributions of Henry VIII to society and history. Wasn’t expecting to be fascinated by someone who lived hundreds of years ago. Must read for biography and history lovers alike!

The life of Henry VIII has been very known to many. He was such an influential and a strong man because of what he had left. Reading this book took me more about the Man of many faces. This book is far different from other history books. You’ll get to know more about the king and will also dig deeper to his life. You will get to know him more and the other side of him and what made him the man he had become.

This is a superb book, especially if you're interested in the small details of King Henry’s life. I was hooked in the chapter that covers about his youth and teenage years. Anyway, this book sheds light on some of Henry's most baffling decisions. I find this book well researched and very readable. I guess after reading his biography, I find him one of the most intriguing people of the 1500 century.

Reading the book is like visiting England in time past and watching vividly the events as it unfolds before your very eyes. It captivates your interest and enriches your historical knowledge on the early English kingdom. The story of King Henry VIII teaches us a lot of life’s lessons that we can glean and ponder upon. Two thumbs up for David Bradley for a well-written book!

This is such a good read. Having this book is a perfect tool to have a deeper understanding of King Henry VIII. It is quite a revelation of how his life was and the influential people during his reign. This will make you better understand the legacy that he left and how he's been able to made a mark in the history that has been recognized and will be recognized from one generation to another.
