This is a great beginning place for drum instruction. It hits on the basics of all need-to-know information, as well as in-depth looks at theory and method. The CD is a great bonus!
All of the FastTrack books are very well written and presented. Notation is clear and the material is nicely paced to keep your interest without overwhelming or confusing you. This would be a fine choice for a new drum student or for somebody who is new to reading drum notation.
