I have been working on playing in odd time signatures for about as long as I have been playing the drums! I always found other books on the subject to either be too vague or just too much like a calculus class. Rick, with his great book "Drummer's Guide to Odd Time Signatures" has made it so simple that even I could grasp the concepts. Like everything else in this world worth working for you still have to use some patience and elbow grease to go from the concepts to the bandstand, but Rick has made it a much smoother journey. Everyday I get closer to the place I want to be thanks to Rick's "no need for a doctorate in mathematics" book and CD. Mr. Landwehr, I thank you and I am sure my band mates thank you.

Having struggled with ODD Time Signatures. I purchased the book & CD & I have gained so much from it in a shrot while. I like how it takes you through in progressive steps.

I've been looking for an advanced book for my students and this has fit the bill. I like how it sets up practice rhythms and fills then on the CD you can practice what you have learned. Great book. I'm still looking for other books for advanced drum kit students though.

It is very useful to a drumer who want to improve his advanced tech or feeling of groove. Trust it. Enjoy it.
