Larry is a gifted composer and arranger and these will liven up a Sunday without making the seniors mad.
the arrangements are truly advanced, which is important to me. It seems there is not much in the way of truly advanced music arrangements, and this book is - not only technically, but in the harmonies,rhythms, etc.Shackley has a very strong melodic sense, and his fills and introductions are often mini-pieces in and of themselves. I admire every arrangement in this book. Excellent music, in my opinion, right up there in quality if not in style with satie, and faure and almost there with chopin. this is an arranger who takes it seriously

Love. Love. Love. This is just what I wanted. Some jazzy tunes that I enjoy playing (and actually CAN play). I've already played a few for church and they love them too. A few of them got everybody clapping. It's good to hear different renditions of old favs.
Larry's arrangment is so unique and creative. I strongly recommend this for church musicians of not only contemporary but also traditional services.
Another great piano book with beautiful variations of hymns you know. I love to just sit and play through this book and listen to all those beautiful chords not normally used with these songs.
