This is a great book for beginners who want to play popular church songs. The level is about 1-2. There are mostly "children's church" songs, but that's good because these are the songs younger students are most familiar with. There are also duet parts to that the teacher can play along!
These arrangements are the best I have found for making beginners sound good. The solos are well-written and have very good duet parts for a teacher or fairly skilled pianist. My students love them, and when we play them in worship services, comments are always very positive. Level 1 is accessible to beginners who can read notes on the grand staff, and level 2 is not too hard for my 6-9 month students. Levels one and two are really good!
