I bought this for my 7 year old granddaughter as she is taking ballet. As I read it to her she demonstrated the steps in the pictures and told me what the French terms meant and showed them to me. I'm sure she will enjoy the book more when she is able to read it herself. The text is more for an adult to tead to a child this young. It was a great gift for a budding ballerina.
