This is noting more than the instructions you would get with any chess set you buy from the store. There is nothing kids specific in the entire book. This is labled "Chess for Kids"; it is not! It is simply how to play chess. This would not interest my kid nor are there any helpful tools as to how to teach a child.
I like the book because it was indeed a simple explanation of how the pieces move. Otherwise, it directs you to websites for more information.
