Fantastic beginner workbook. I knew nothing about playing the clarinet about 6 weeks ago but thanks to this book, I can now play beyond the beginner level. I need to add that after using this and its CD, I bought Book 2 which furthered my skills as a new clarinetist.My suggestion to make the most out of this book is to practice EVERY DAY especially since it's the summer. Also, strive to perfectly play each exercise with the CD. Honestly, this frustrated me several times because an exercise was challenging. But don't give up. What's the point in moving on to the next if you haven't mastered the building foundation? I can guarantee that as long as you focus on every exercise and consistently practice, you will be an impressive beginner in no time.
I purchased this book for my daughter because it was needed for her clarinet class at school. So far the book has been helpful and she enjoys it. price was 50% cheaper than my local music stores and the shipping was extremely fast with Prime as usual. 2 day shipping, and recieved in one day.
The book itself is excellent. The difficulty was that the title did not include that this was for clarinet. My kids' school specified this book, but did not tell me that there was a separate book for each instrument...I thought this was a standard music book. My mistake.
The school requires this book for the band. It was cheaper on that at the local store. I like the cds included.
This was required to be used in a beginner band class it was nice buying it and getting it shipped for free with Prime.
Excellent book for beginners. Just recently bought a clarinet and i'm already getting through the basics. Easy to learn and practing the songs and exercises is simple.
Very good book, clear and easy to follow. One caveat, the CD's are not clear and actually I found the first one unusable. Get the book anyway, you will learn a lot.
Just what the music teacher wanted, fast delivery, good price. Would recommend to others needing music lesson books. Both music store and school prefer this one.
