I have already used one of these gems for offertory. They are fairly easy to sightread for "early advanced," yet the variety of approaches forestalls boredom. Both the pianist and the listener will find these pieces a joy to experience. Most of the arrangements in the book are over three minutes, which for my situation is just a tad longer than absolutely necessary. Happily, Mr Ray's treatments pique the ear and keep the extra offertory time worshipful. A final plus is that the arrangements work well for those of us with small hands.
This is a wonderful book! I purchased this book because I needed some of the newer praise songs for solo piano to use in church services. The songs are fun to play and fairly easy to work up for the experienced piano player. I would recommend this book.
The piano solo arrangements in this book are just so wonderful! They are excellent as offertory pieces, or anything else for that matter.
Lovely, up to date music that my congregation will love listening to. The arrangements aren't too hard, so I can have them ready quickly.
