It's pretty great. I'm a college student and I'm taking a class right now where the 11th edition is recommended for the class. It turns out, the material between the two editions weren't far too off from each other and it saved me a good 80 bucks getting this. As of the content, it's very easy to follow along, very interactive although you would want to buy the cd (though my professor gladly pulls up the audio in class so we need not buy the cd.)Yes, overall, a good product to buy. A good find if you were looking for a place to start with appreciating jazz or just an overall entertaining, informative read.
Once you get past the creepy cover photo of Miles Davis the book is not bad. But it is not great either. I wish it had come with the audio cd.
