This review is for Jazz, Rags, and Blues series in general, rather than this particular book in the series. My son has used many of the books in the series of Jazz, Rags, and Blues books in his piano lessons and practice time. The songs are short and interesting, a fun change from the more traditional songs in the usual piano lesson books. In particular, many of these songs are great recital songs because they show off jazz, rags, or blues abilities in fun, short songs. The kids can demonstrate their abilities but not get bogged down in longer, trickier pieces. The series does increase in difficulty as the book numbers increase. My son particularly enjoys the Christmas Jazz, Rags, and Blues book.
Third of three piano books for beginning jazz players. A bit harder than books 1 and 2. Cheerful short jazz pieces. This book can be bought with or without a CD.
the song are a great difficultly level for me, they get harder one by one. The songs are all basically the same though.
