I purchased this book after the Director of the New Horizons Band, NE Ohio -- of which I am a member -- indicated it was needed.It was promptly delivered and i am pleased with the purchase.
This series is excellent...we started with Accent on Achievement, and this fits in well for moving on. Not overwhelming like some others. Easy to practice on your own, or in groups. There are exercises, scales, small songs, and complete songs that would be suitable for concerts. Best part is that you can play along out of this book with any other instruments (of course they need their own instruments book)...but a flute,and or clarinet, and or trumpet, and or tuba, drums, etc, would all be able to play songs together if they have this book. (or any in their series). BTW, we happen to be older adults, some playing for the first time ever, so learning not only the instrument, but how to read music too.
My daughter needed this book for ban at school. We had a hard time finding it at any of the near by stores but found it on where I always find things I need. It took about a week to get. Thanks !
