I am giving this book 4 stars because the verbal content is good information but it is not easy to figure out exactly what the author is saying. An example is this sentence: "To increase the stream of a color with minimal loss of color quality, utilize flow improver medium instead of simple water.." What is meant by increasing the stream of color and what is a flow improver medium. Pictures of what it looks like using water and the flow improver medium. I think the information in the book is good if one who needs guidance in acrylics can understand it. There are no pictures to assist in understanding what the author is telling us.This paragraph "How Thick Should I Use Acrylic Paint, Acrylic paint can be used as thick or thin as you like. You can utilize it thin and 'watery', in translucent layers (glazing) like watercolors. On thick and buttery, loaded with texture and showing brush marks (impasto)." Perhaps a picture of each accompanying the words would help us understand more easily."I am not new at painting with acrylics but I still need some visuals to see what the author is telling me.I received this book at no cost in exchange for giving my honest review.
