This book was totally different from what I expected based on the title. I would have named this book "Mixed-media madness" which is the title of one of the chapters in the book. This book covers a lot more than Acrylic painting. This not a book that teaches draw you landscapes or flowers or people, this book concentrates on drawing abstract images, shapes, colors, lines, and combing them with other mediums for interesting effects. Since art is subjective rather than describing it I am attaching a video with a couple of pages in the book so you can see a few projects that I thought were representative.This book is aimed at anyone with an interest and curiosity about art. As long as you have a passion for creating and love of colors and shapes you can express on canvas.The author's style of writing is clear and friendly. The book has a spiral back so when you open it on a project it lays flat and makes it easy to reference the lesson. My favorite chapter is "What if". This chapter is about experimentation by combining techniques and mediums.A lot of what makes art fun for me is experimenting, pushing the boundaries, creating something new. This book is likely to give you some new ideas.
