Having more tools in the tool box is a good thing. And learning different ways to paint trees, water, rocks, people, just gives you more to look at. It is sort of like the fact that you can play a lot of songs with just 3 chords on the guitar. But it is better if you can change key, play several cords in each key.
Jerry Yarnell is an excellent acrylic painter. This book is another fantastic instructional book in his series of books. It contains great instructions and projects to increase your acrylic painting skills.

Another good book to buy to learn how to paint landscapes. As a teacher he is excellent with multiple demonstrations for each picture. My only critque is that for me I love bold bright colours and his painting is softer and more subtle but still lovely.
I have several books by Jerry Yarnell. My goal is to collect them all, I like this style of painting and am learning alot. The book came quicker than I thought and although a little crumpled with the shipping was still in good shape. I will cantinue to order more books.

If you love to paint, Jerry Yarnell is a wonderful instructor. The book is so informative it makes you feel you are in the classroom with the teacher.
You'll pay $20 for these books at a craft store. All the volumes of these books are really good and for less than $5, it's a great deal. Buy it from , it's really easy.
