Orgullo y Prejuicio es universalmente conocido por ser una obra romantica en toda la expresion de la palabra. La autora de este libro es una de las escritoras mas afamadas en la literatura de todos los tiempos: Jane Austen. Admiro a esta invaluable mujer primeramente por que con sus pocas novelas contribuyó a fomentar la lectura en su época, a popularizar la novela como género en el siglo XIX y a crear las pautas de la comedia romántica moderna. Segundo, por que se atrevió a criticar a la sociedad de aquel tiempo, se atrevió, al menos con el personaje principal de Elizabeth Bennet a demostrar esa fuerza e inteligencia femenina muchas veces censurada por las tradiciones y el deber ser. Fue escrita en 1813 y publicada anonimamente por Austen, a sus escasos 20 años.La trama de Orgullo y Prejuicio es narrada de forma natural y rapida. Describe historias cotidianas y personales, que a simple vista pueden parecer triviales. Sin embargo, si uno presta mas atención y ahonda un poco mas en esto, podemos darnos una idea de como era la sociedad de la época, cuales eran sus sueños, sus emociones, sus sentimientos, sus rutinas.. su forma de ver y vivir la vida. Son precisamente estos detalles lo que hacen que esta obra sea universal y todavía vigente. Es la forma en como escribió Jane Austen sencilla y sin afectación, que hacen que la historia se vuelva entrañable. Me gusto muchísimo esta versión. Creo que la traducción si bien nunca será al 100% apegada al lenguaje en la cual fue escrita, si logra con éxito desarrollarse y darse a entender.Todos los personajes en esta historia juegan un papel de alguna u otra forma importante en la trama.
