This is a very very basic get started book. It would work for a parent that wants an overview of the game, but was completely useless for my daughter who wanted ideas for building homes. It basically just covered things she already knew and had almost no pictures. Not at all worth the price.
Great book! Has all of the things you need to know in Minecraft that will help you survive. Highly recommended book. This book is also a great timewaster and you also learn facts about it too. Tony does a great job on this amazing Minecraft handbook. ;D
Don't waste your money on this one. The graphics are a joke and it looked so poorly put together that I'm sure that my children could have done just as good of a job. Pitiful comparison to the complete guide book set produced by Mojang. My son was so disappointed. At first, I doubted that the book was as bad as my son said but after looking through the book myself and comparing it to the other guides that he has on Minecraft I had to completely agree with him. This is a sad attempt to cash in on a name brand.
I have just tried playing Minecraft and it is quite complicated for me. Thankfully, this book really helped a lot in explaining the game. The book got all the useful information that you need to know in order to survive the world of Minecraft. The book contains helpful guides such as to creating a Minecraft account, basics controls, and to advanced materials such as crafting and surviving the world of Minecraft. The book is noobie-friendly and contains illustrations. My friend, who also just started playing the game, also find the book really helpful. I recommend this book to new players of Minecraft.
Honestly, I bought this book to pretend to my kids how great I am with this game. We just downloaded Minecraft and so we are just starting to learn how to do things, but of course, I want my kids to be astounded with my skills ( and not the lack thereof ), so I bought this book. One of the most valuable lesson I got from this book is to "Never Mine Straight Down" because of the magma. Well, of course I had to show what would happen in order to say, "see, I told you so". Lol. Anyways, it was a great book.
I've been a Minecraft player for quite a long time already and I have quite learned almost all of the tricks the hard way. Being curious, I still downloaded this book just purely for reading . I was quite glad that I still found some tricks which I haven't tried before. Over-all, for me this book will be a good guide for beginners as they can learn here the basic in playing the game. This book was quite informative.

If Minecraft was released for the SNES, I could imagine the instruction book looking exactly like this. Sadly, I can't fully put this on the perspective of a brand new Minecraft player because I was really expecting a mastery guide (it isn't) but if I were to recommend new players, I would push them to read this book. It has everything a new player could need. As a bit more experienced player, I couldn't find anything enlightening here. I just found it fun to read in general and it should convince the more critical players to look beyond the game's graphics and feel the addiction. Basically, the book shows that there is so much to do in Minecraft.
