This book seems to be written for those that are entirely new to music, and not just new to the banjo. I've studied many instruments, and used many books, and this is one of the most overly-simplistic beginner books I've ever purchased. I fully regret the purchase, and did not benefit from it in the slightest. You're far better off using free resources online than buying this book.That said, if you're looking for a book to give to a 10 year old that's looking at picking up the 5-string banjo, this one would probably be appropriate...
