NO TAB !!! Music notation only. The music is good, but having to pan from stereo to the left channel to use the play-along feature is a pain. The provided software does make doing that easier, but when you pan to the play-along you also will be missing the horns or harmonic as well as the guitar. The book has lyrics, but no music notation for the guitar parts. Just notation for the melody (vocals). Also the book has simple chord notation.
The cd that came with the book has no melody on the "Full Streo Mix" or the "split Mix". There are no horns on either mix and it is all rhythm, guitar bass and piano. I play Alto & tenor sax. Maybe my order was a mistake. If the cd had been correct I would have given a 5 star evaluation
I am returning this book because it is completely useless. The split track has so much bleed over into each stereo field it's not a split track at all. If your a guitar player you're screwed, the head is being played by the guitar on the stereo and split track. I have been buying play-along's for many years and use Audacity to shift the tracks around so I can feel like I'm rehearsing with a band. With these garbage play-along's it doesn't matter what instrument your'e playing, it's no different than playing along with an inferior cover version off the radio with no vocals. Who ever the top person at Hal Lenard is that is responsible for releasing this garbage, they should be fired for wasting every ones time and for misleading advertising. I canceled my other orders with Hal Lenard. Big Big disappointment.
