It is a time of unknowns for members of the Alliance. They have no information to guide their actions, no record of the key events to influence their research. For Fil Trask and his sister, Angel, it is also a time of growing up. It is a time when they must learn the deep sacrifices it often takes to keep a family together through great trial and tribulation. And it is a time when they will learn that your greatest fears and deepest pain can have a profound and lasting influence upon the entire world.

I have said this before. Albinck can tell a great story and his basic writing style is wonderful. It was really interesting to see events that we have seen in the past from another point of view. I thoroughly enjoyed this story. However, the editing of the book is another thing altogether. I am not talking about typos, although this addition to the series had quite a bit more than previous books. It is the frequent, jarring lack of continuity. Albinck tries to explain away prior errors, but is not entirely successful. Facts from previous books are incorrectly recalled in this book, a complaint that I have had with all of the books. In addition, there are summaries of events that happened just a few chapters before, which are irritating. There is one chapter where a character, Eva, keeps popping in and out as if Albrinck kept forgetting that she was a member of the group of characters in that chapter. She would say something and then disappear when Albrinck was reviewing all the characters present, then say something again a dozen paragraphs later. She was so silent and absent that, at one point, when she spoke, I had to go back to the beginning of the chapter to see where she came from. It was frustrating, because it took me out of the story. In another chapter, he has the viewpoints of several characters, but then starts a section with "he" never identifying who the pronoun referenced. Again, I had to stop the flow of the book to figure out whose point of view I was supposed to be experiencing. Finally, the are a few bits of just clunky writing. My favorite was on page 5: "The crack was certainly noticeable, not something he could leave alone and expect it to remain unnoticed." Wow! I am glad that he noticed the crack. This could have been a five star book, and series, but for these consistent editing errors. It is too bad that Albrinck did not have someone familiar with the series read each new book before it was published to catch these problems.

Although this book did seem to repeat several events that were covered in other books, these were looked at from a different point of view, mostly by those who had to invent the technology and do the training for Will to head to the past. The old Will finally makes his presence known, and I felt quite chuffed to know I was right. Who do you think it is. There are some interesting insight into the lives of Will's children and his wife after his "passing" and some shockers too. It is a great addition to the rest of the series and I look forward eagerly to the final book in the saga! If you have not yet read the previous books, it is well worth your while to start at number one and work your way through.

In this book, many of the earlier story lines come to a close. Although I looked forward to this happening,I was not sure what would be next. Knowing there was a 7th book in the works, I was not disappointed bywhere the current story line is heading. Strong characters as well as a few surprises are the marks of thisexcellent writer. Unfortunately, a great deal of the story is dependent upon the reader having already readthe earlier books. This is not a good bock to start the series with. Too many spoilers for the earlier booksare covered in these pages. Really looking forward to the next book. Thank you for a good time and awonderful journey.

I have purchased all 6 in the Aliomenti Series. I have enjoyed every book and eagerly awaited the next book. This book was a little disappointing. It was repetitive and not very enlightening to the series. Since books one through five were great, I'm hoping book 7, the final in the series, stands up like the first 5 books. The first 5 books were great. I would rate each one 5 stars.

Great book series. Fast pace lots of action. The story is written with detail and the characters are engaging. I recommend this series u won't be disappointed.Currently the final book in the series. I enjoyed each installment. Start with book one and read thru the series. I found each book moved quickly with ample action and intense character development.

I truly enjoyed this entire series. I love the premise that it's based on, I've never read anything like it. Throughout the series I have gotten to know the characters so well, good and bad. Excellent writing and editing. I can't wait for the next book. Sci-fi readers do not miss this series.

I HAVE LOVED THIS SAGA FROM THE BEGINNING! This had the time travel conclusion. It was full of surprises and action. Unpredictable and it made me never want to put it down. Only trouble with this book was the editing. Word were missing, skipped or jumbled. I would suggest a better proofreader. Look forward to the conclusion.

Terrific stories like this series has been? It's become difficult to imagine what fantastic adventures remain to be revealed by Mr. Albrink. Waiting for the next and final installment will be close to unbearable. Nonetheless, given that it will be the final installment, I await it with eager anticipation. The entire series has well deserved a five star rating.
