The purpose of this book is to bring to the beginners and confirmed harmonica players an encyclopedia of licks from witch they can learn and use while improvising alone or with a band. The great harmonica players often mixed spontaneous original ideas with well known licks to create new solos. Most of the time licks and riffs are “borrowed”, adapted and changed into new ones. It is rare when someone comes up with a totally fresh approach without relying on the tradition meaning blues phrases, riffs and scales. The following licks were inspired by musical improvisations of blues legends such as Junior Wells, Sonny Boy Williamson II, Little Walter, Big Walter Horton, James Cotton, Howlin’ Wolf and Jean-Jacques Milteau. 100 Easy Blues Harmonica Licks will work with any 10 hole diatonic harmonica in the key of C.

I own several blues harmonica books. But I have to say that this book is the one that I've the most fun going through. The licks are easy enough, and still interesting. I picked up the first few and started incorporating them into my own made up rhythms right a way. Fun and easy to understand. It doesn't teach songs but the book is full of short licks that will have you making up your own blues song in no time
I am enjoying this book a lot, just a great method to learn blues harmonica and blues in general. Yvonnick is a jazz master and also an amazing teacher. To me this one of his best works and an essential tool for anybody who wants to know the basics of blues.
This is a great book and mp3s audio. The licks are easy enough and still interesting. I picked the firs few and started incorporated them into my own made up rhythms right away. Fun and easy to understand. I recommend this book if you can already play single notes. It doesn't teach songs but it is full of short licks that will have you practice for a long time!
For a blues harmonica player who's just starting to learn or a pro wanting to add to his vocabulary. This book will spice things up and change your mind with new ideas. I use it as part of my daily practise. 5 stars!
