First of all there are no other words other than fantastic. Avenging Heart by Desni Dantone was one of the best friends I have had the pleasure of reading. The whole Ignited Series was incredible and an emotional ride. Avenging Heart had so many emotions coming out as it was happy, laughing, sad, incredibly sad, and angry.Avenging Heart was the final story of the Ignited Series that was about how Kris, Nathan, Alec and their group were going to stop the demi gods in order to save everyone. Kris and Nathan struggle to find time to be alone because when dealing with demi gods they are training night and day. You can't forget Alec and all his humor who completely makes the story in my opinion. He is funny and he will do anything to protect Kris from everything. When you read this book you will not want to put it down at all. You see in the book that Kris is very strong and after main events that happen she proves that she can push thru emotion and kick some butt. Nathan at this point is just completely amazed by her.
Good Greek gods my head and heart were terribly distressed. This book is one of the best series finales I've ever read. All the action and mystery you've come to love in the Ignited series plus a good dose of heart break and espionage for balance. Read them all now, but be prepared for an emotional roller coaster that will leave you with a gigantic book hangover.
Not the ending I would have expected after the first book. Have you ever read a series and the ending was just so sappy it kinda ruined it for you? Well that's what this was. I read all four books within a week because they were so fast paced I didn't want to stop. This book had zero character development. It was an extension of the last book and did nothing to add to the story because no one important had ANYTHING significant happen that ultimately altered their lives in some way. Isn't that the point to a drawn out series? I was a bit confused by the fiancé's acceptance with the other guys outward expressions of affection toward his fiancee'??? And the constant making out made me want to vomit. It was seriously cringe worthy how a young person could so freely admit to unconditional love but freeze up and panic at the mention of sex? Pullease. All the build up and in the end it just did nothing for the progression of their relationship. Everything stayed the SAME. The intimate moments between my two favorite characters were more suited for a teen novel and I would even go as far as pre-teen. Maybe I read the category wrong and it was actually teen novels and not YA....
I just finished this series. The first book was free, and this is the first time I have read anything by this author. Desni writes very well. I enjoyed the first book that I bought the rest of the series.There is a well thought out, believable, story line, the characters are well developed and stay in character though out the series. I will be checking out Desni's other series.The story centers around a girl named Kris and her protector Nathan. Other characters come on board as the story goes along so that there are eventually a group of people going through the story together. Kris is being chased by two groups of people, one bent on using her and the other who want to kill her so that she doesn't get used. Kris finds out that the greek gods are real and she is a descendant of them. On the run Kris and Nathan (her guardian and potential love interest) have to figure out why they are being chased, who is involved, and how to solve the issue so they survive.
OUTSTANDING!! What an emotional rollercoaster this book is. By far this book had me on the edge of my seat, biting my nails, and on my toes more than any other book I have read. The conclusion of The Ignited Series is filled with fighting, adventure to and in the Underworld, and involving the Gods. There was more heartache than the other books but also love and so much joy. The characters were amazing as they struggled with their quests of Demigods and Circe’s curse. The endearing love between Nathan and Kris is a joy to read. They really grow strong together as a couple. Also the love Kris has for Alec in a best friend way is as emotional as you read about their bond. I truly enjoyed reading about the relationships with the other team members and the forgiveness that occurred. Don’t miss this amazing conclusion of the Ignited Series, Avenging Heart by Desni Dantone. The big heartbreak is that the series is over.
I did not see that coming, but it was a perfect ending to a great series.To be honest I am somewhere between let down and relieved at how the demigods were taken care of, but that doesn't mean I didn't spend my time reading the book on the edge of my seat. The intensity builds through out leading to a breath taking journey through the underworld and then it just got more intense. It is a bit excruciating at times because it is so unpredictable and you never know what is waiting around the corner.Definitely earned every bit of the 5 stars
Nathan, Kris, Callie, Alec....oh my, this book was the bomb. The gods are crazy and deception is everywhere. Nathan's ex girlfriend is captured and given a potion that turns her back into a Kali. War is staged on every front, but who wins?Callie is near death, Micah loses a huge battle, and life will never be the same.I cried when friends were lost in death, I jumped up and down when the demigods were destroyed one by one. I stayed up for hours reading each word.....Each page. These characters are fantastic. The book.....you won't be able to drop it.Read on my friends. This final book is fabulous. Absolutely love it.
