Generally, this is not a bad textbook on regional and urban economics. It includes brief explanations of quite a number of models of regional and urban development, which makes for an advantage over some of the competing textbooks. However, the quantity of mistakes in the book is frustrating. Mistakes are aplenty and they are in the grammar and, which is especially troublesome for students, thay are in the math. Outdated links to non-existent sections of the book (have they survived from the first edition?) also do not add to the readability. To sum up, I hope that the editors will do a better job when they prepare the third edition. In the meantime, students not afraid of stumbling upon the aforementioned issues may find this textbook quite helpful.
