This book is great as a preparatory to Suzuki Violin School Book 1. It takes many repetitions of playing open string and simple fingerning before starting the Twinkles. This book allows the student many fun songs to master the different twinkle rhythms and basic fingering. It gives a student and parents a way to messure there progress. It takes a long time to set up the violin. Tone, or sound of each note, is key to sucessful set up of the violin. This book helps in such a way that the student can achieve success and give them more confidence.
YAY! something besides the Pre-Twinkle Express (Train Song) for early beginners. Thank you for the interesting variety of musical styles. I am teaching two sisters and now they can have their choice for their individual solo.
So very glad I ordered this book! I play the piano part on my harp and my daughter LOVES to practice her bowing rhythms over and over. Makes redundant bowing practice into fun and interesting duets. Highly recommend!
