A fantastic book,aimed at children to describe the life of Lionel Messi.Extremely well illustrated and focused on soccer, this book will certainly keep children interested throughout.The wording is reasonably simple and while short, is still a great read. Perfect for kids and highly recommended!
I bought the "paperback" version of this book as a gift for a child. This is not a book produced by a publisher, but a high quality print of the much less expensive kindle ebook. The book has an introduction, 6 chapters, and a conclusion (each is one page long). The remainder of the "24 page" book is photos and ads for other kindle ebooks by the author. My fifth grade son has written better books than this one. It may be worth the lower priced kindle download, but it certainly is not worth the higher priced paperback cost. I am utterly embarrassed to give this as a gift.
i don't usually post reviews and wish everyone the best in life but i have to honest that is a terrible excuse for a "book". It's a pamphlet. 50% of the books is ads for other books by the writer. I have never seen this before in a "book" and is shady. With a weak intro page and roughly one page for each of the 6 chapters, it is not worth $18. At best it's worth $3 at a book fair. I don't recommend this and actually returned for a full refund for $18 + tax. If you are thinking "picture book" for the kids, the pictures are poor quality and there aren't that many. Not the what i would expect of a book for kids. The writing is not for kids under 3rd grade and what is written is very weak on substance. My 10 year old whom is a big fan of Messi was very disappointed. Even a younger kid around 6 would find this weak. I recommend you avoid this.
I bought this book for my nephew who is 8 because he loves messi, and the description said this was good for a 3rd to 6th grade reading level. It is accurate that a 3rd grade could comprehend this book. However, the typeset is so small they would need a magnifying glass to see it, and would have a really hard time making out the words even then. Plus it's only about 20 pages. I'm sure it said that somewhere, but it's not a great value
