I am always cautious about the word "easy" in sheet music because it is subjective. I bought this for my students. The songs in this book are appropriate for students with at least a year or so under their belt. If you are familiar with Faber piano books I would assign these songs for students in the late 2A to 2B level and up. Most songs have some chord work. Some have 16th notes and quite a few dotted notes as well. There is some ledger line work too. These are in simpler key signatures so the songs are also great for beginning guitar which are notated. The accompaniment for a vocalist are a little lacking. Most songs are in the Mezzo Soprano to Soprano range.
We love this movie as probably everyone else does and so this was a natural choice for our budding pianists. It will take some time for us to grow into this book as they it's definitely not for beginners, but that also means the songs have more depth musically. My wife and I are actually the ones playing these songs right now but hopefully it won't be too much longer before the kids will be playing them as well.
Like many little kids, my daughter LOVES Disney princess movies. And like many little kids, she hates practicing piano.So this was an attempt to get her to practice with less tears.Pro...lots of songs she recognizes. She FINALLY knows the words to her favorites. (unlike the earlier nonstop "Let it go! Let it go! *mumble mumble* Let it go! Let it go!" and repeat, ad nauseum) I have often caught her sitting with this on her lap singing away.Con...she still doesn't get on the piano to learn to PLAY the dang thing.
My daughter received this for Christmas and she is STILL playing these songs!They are easy enough for her -she has only had a few lessons.AND It keeps her interested enough to continue learning piano. That is my favorite part!
The songs are fun and sound like they do in the movies. This is an awesome piano/guitar book. It's fairly easy but not for beginning pianists.
This book is so awesome. I can actually play all of the songs, with exception of the first one, and I suck something fierce. lol
This is the BEST sheet music for the young and adult BEGINNER. It is so fun to open a sheet music book and know you can learn the music or can already play it. I HIGHLY suggest getting the CD that goes with the book. I helps to keep you on course and is a good checking tool.
This music is intended for beginners. The tunes are recognizable, and it was great to find a set with these 3 movies. I wish they offered a more complex version for more experienced pianists.
