I'm not a huge fan of "what-if" guides but reading this book really slapped me in the face knowing that this could very well happen one day. It mentions some true stories on economic collapses in other countries just to really make its point and then proceeds to offering some crucial advice to surviving in case it happens. There is a lot of gloom and doom here but it certainly doesn't hurt too much to be prepared. I may not prepare right away but I will gradually do it and this book does a great job in guiding my way.
When my coworkers recommended this book to me, I was unsure what exactly I was reading because I didn't even know what a prepper was. I was surprised that I had no prior knowledge on this subject, especially since that is the world I live in each day. Being around money and focusing on money all the time, I was really taken back by my lack of knowledge in this particular area. I could not put the book down. I read it cover to cover and now tell everyone I come in contact with that if they want a real eye opener concerning money, they MUST read this book...

You will learn how to survive in a crises, it won't be easy but you can be better prepared, the people will be the same and you will realize how to make the best out of it thanks to this book.
Hyperinflation and Deflation are concepts people need to understand and what can happen if any of these take place. People have become so reliant on the power of money that we'll definitely be helpless in the event money loses its value. The tips on how to do bartering and what commodities might be of value are all in this book. A very informative book on how money gains and loses its power.
Great historical background put Mr. Johnson in a strong position to support individual solutions. His lists were very good, and the emphasis on skills is a necessity. Knowing proper storage and how to harvest and process plant material is essential to survival, processed flour, bagged rice and beans have a very short shelf life. That is why I am anxious to read his other books.
This book covered all you need to know about survival during natural calamities. I like that the tips and suggestions in the book are simple and practical. I found this book very informative. I enjoyed reading this book and highly recommend it.
