I knew Tony Robbins was a "gimmick" salesman. I have watched his "schtick" for 20 years and have avoided him any way possible. However. After listening to these CD's, I understand now why and how he has become who he is: he truly believes and practices what he preaches. He genuinely wants to help people. It was evident on these CD's and now I want to hear more. I want to attend his seminars and, it makes me want to help people even more than I do everyday. I listened to these in my car during hour long commutes, sometimes 3, 4 or 5 times to fully get the messages. The next step is to actually write down the teachings and see how I can manifest even more than what I have created already. Best investment I have made in 20 years has been in myself.-Dr. B
This is an excellent audio set of some of the more mature wisdom from one who is a a grand master at leading his life, and at helping others to better do the same.At this modest price it is well worth acquiring - I commend it to you.
I am a big fan of Tony Robbins. This is a good program, but certainly not his best. I think the Unleash the Power Within is a much better program.
This was the first Tony Robbins audio book which I listened too and overall I liked it. Long story short, it talks about setting goals and writing them down and then achieving them using inner strength and perseverance. He uses good examples and I like the chapter on words and language and how using gentler words can positively influence others and make you feel stronger. I also liked the chapter which focused on your one big personal question and how your life always focuses back on answering it. I personally can't figure out what my question is but I am finding the prospect of having one interesting.He does come across as arrogant at times and likes to talk about his billionaire friends so if that kind of stuff turns you off you may hate this book. But if you can look beyond the arrogance you can easily draw some inspiration from the material and will feel good at the end.
I feel like I've been to a Tony Robbins seminar without having to pay the high price$. Tony Robbins really understands people, and what makes the human psyche tick. Learning what is behind our fears and irrational decisions by knowing what our six basic needs are has been important advice for me. There is so much more, but this was the most helpful to me. I love owning the cd's and listening to them over and over again.
Five thousand stars....this is a great collection of some of the best of what Tony talks about in his programs. Nothing is more valuable than creating the emotional states you want to live in! I purchased this for my brother who suddenly lost his vision with NO diagnosis, don't know what else could help him to keep going. People think they have things to complain about....try losing your vision. So thankful for to be able to find this CD set :)
I've always loved Tony Robbins and his dynamic way of getting one to get motivated but this CD made laugh at times and I carry it in my car to listen to it over and over. There was a specific one, I think CD # 3 that makes me want to listen to it over and over and over because the message about taking calculated risks is so powerful and convincing. If you feel you need an extra pep talk before you take that next step in your career or in your life, listen to these CDs with an open mind. I really loved listening to Tony again.
I will agree with the other reviewers that it is not his best stuff and some of the material has been covered before, but for 20 bucks it is quite a deal. If you don't feel like getting out of bed in the morning, play this CD and it will help motivate you to get up and do something. I listen to it on the way to work and instead of complaining to myself that I have to go to work it gives me a more useful perspective on things. Maybe if I was at home and not a "captive" audience sitting in a car, I might feel the material is less valuable, but for me, it works great in the mornings.I also agree with the other reviewer that the True Lies story was not very good and now I just skip that track when I listen to the disks again.
