John Cameron Mitchell is a genius! This show is SO SO SO good. This script is simply (as it states in the foreword) a recounting of the script one night when NPH played it, and it has the bones of the show - but with every actor - JCM especially the show has changed tremendously.
Bought the script at the Broadway show, and I absolutely adore it. I loved the original off-Broadway version, then the movie and now the new and barely improved Broadway version.This is a script, so if you're not familiar with this format, it tells you every actions, dialogues and song of the show, in the order of it.For a fan like me, this is incredible, but for someone who expects a picture book, or a program, this isn't it.
I saw this recently on Broadway and liked the prospect of having the script. It's nice, but seems so short (of course the play is only 90 minutes). I'd say for the hardcore Hed heads this is a fun item to get.
Awesome show; spectacular soundtrack. NPH is a voice that brings character and humanity to Hedwig. Glam and proto punk, this soundtrack is for everyone who loves a good broadway show and modern music woven seemlessly into enhancing a personal and important story.
This is one of the most amazing and life changing shows on Broadway and perhaps ever written.
