I purchased this book originally to play the songs on my Instrument, however, uponreceiving this book, I was pleasantly surprised to find that it was a pre-recorded book ofthe Lullabies, plus it included music sheets that I can actually play from with myinstrument.
Such a great surprise - several beautiful lullabies that I've never even heard before in addition to some of the american classics. The sheet music is also written in keys that most people with a normal range can hit; some books I've found are scored much too high or low for most people to sing comfortably. This book is especially great as a gift for new parents with some musical talent.
A gentle, sweet book full of lovely lullabies for parents to sing, that will lull babies and young children into a calm sleep. I sang these lullabies to my children (now in their 30s) and am happy to find the book still available for my new grand-nephew. Better than playing a CD.... you can sit by the bed, or rock your child in a rocking chair, singing these well loved songs.... it's Mother's or Father's voice the child hears, not an unknown voice on a CD.
