A wonderful collection of the Bach cello suites transcribed for mandolin. Easy to read, with tablature also, which I found very helpful for some of the higher positions and chords when used. The difficulty ranges from a few easy, most intermediate and a few difficult. Because I love the sound of the mandolin, I actually prefer the sound of these suites played by mandolin. Reminiscent of the sound of Bach played by Andres Segovia. Recommended for players of all levels.
Very nicely done. I don't agree with all the fingerings, but in general they are nice and playable arrangements. Bluegrass players would be well served to read through these (even if you never memorize or perform them) to expand their ears and their technique.
I spend a LONG time transcribing the first cello suite. Thanks for doing this - well done, it will get a great work out. I would love loved it if I could have it electronically - but this is still great.
Bach made easy! The book itself is hard to keep open so I had a comb bind put on it, now its perfect.
