I liked the hand-drawn Victorian Houses coloring book. The pictures are nice, I enjoyed the pictures of the interior of the house best. I have seen several older homes in the in the Washington DC and Maryland area that looks similar to the pictures in the coloring book. I love the extensive care that the author exhibited in creating this coloring book. I liked these pictures. Victorian houses give you a lot of fun coloring because you can use a lot of colors, with all of the gingerbreading. There were also pictures of the interior of some rooms, along with people dressed in victorian clothing. Beautiful houses and beautiful clothing to color. This book is not just exteriors of houses, it’’s also interiors, and, they are so nicely drawn! It also has a bit of history regarding the different styles. I have the PDF version, and, am happy to see that the ink usage is minimal. This is definitely worth getting! Lovely designs of Victorian houses with people and without people. The designs are well drawn andmake the history buff in me happy. Houses are not the most fun to color in general, but these arebegging to be colored. There are none with blackened in areas and few with heavy, dark lines. Mostof the designs fill the page and have backgrounds. A definite good choice for me. Old Victorian houseswere not decorated very fancy, but now we can make them whatever color we want just as the newowners of houses like these are doing. Overall, a well drawn coloring book that will provide hours ofenjoyment for all skill levels. I received this book for free in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.The book is - as the name suggests - full of houses from Victorian era. I like that the name is clear and we know what to expect. I am fed up with all the books with all the "mindfulness" "calm" "relax" etc. in their names to find out they are all made of the same Shutterstock images (where you usually do not find what the name promises). Here it will not happen. You get what you see on the cover.The pictures are well designed to be coloured. It is completely up to you if you choose to colour them historically acurate or if you will make your fairy-tale style landscapes or haunted mansions where you can expect a ghost to appear. In some pictures there are also people included, of course in historical clothes.If you like colouring houses or if you like history (or need to work on a Victorian project at school), you should definitely choose this book.
These designs are absolutely beautiful! There are about 9 designs showing the outside of different architectural styles of homes during the Victorian era; then we go inside the house to see a couple of foyer type designs; a couple of dining rooms with different styles of chairs, wallpaper; and a couple of living rooms too. There are a few pictures with people in the rooms. These designs will bring you back into what some would call a more gentler time in the past, with the women beautifully and modestly dressed. I would be happy to live in these houses! There are some smaller spaces to color, but just be patient and take your time, its worth it! I have been fascinated with Victorian type houses since I was a child. When I lived in Marquette, Michigan I would walk down the streets taking in the wonder and beauty of the old French inspired houses with their widow walks. To me, they were as glorious as any castle! In many ways "Victorian Houses: 22 Original Interior and Exterior Designs to Walk You through Beautiful Victorian Houses" reminds me of those lovely dwellings! I have never had the privilege to actually live in such a house, but this coloring book is the next best thing!
